Anyone know anything about Coppell this upcoming year? Is that quarterback that got hurt last season that derailed their season coming back?

Coppell returns 5 on offense and 6 on defense. Should be a burner at SMU Week 0.
I think first week rustiness mixed with two good defenses will lead to a low scoring, close game.
Longview-17 Coppell-10
I have a good feeling about this year.

Should be a good one. Can't wait. I'm also going to stay in town all weekend to hopefully see the Allen/SLC game at the new Allen ISD Stadium.

Talking with one of the Coppell coaches he said their Juniors and Seniors are pretty weak this year. They have a good Freshman and Sophomore class coming up though so next year will be a lot tougher game

Parking is horrible! Anybody have suggestions on parking? We parked in a parking garage north of the stadium when we played Denton Guyer. It took forever to get out after the game!

No matter where you park at SMU, it's going to be terrible. There use to be a parking lot right behind the shopping center on the "away" side of the stadium but I believe that's gone now (at least I remember it not being there when I drove past there a month or two ago).
Not sure if any of the following will be open but, there is a parking lot on the I believe it's the West side of the stadium that's connected to the church that is on the left if you're turning in from Mockingbird Ln. There's also a parking garage right next to the stadium. Again, not sure if either of those will be open for public parking on game day.
If you want a place to park right next to the stadium, I would suggest parking right behind the soccer fields. There's not a lot of parking and it's literally right next to the stadium, but it's there. You'll have to walk around to the away side however.
I know the parking situation sucks, but the easiest one is that parking garage north of the stadium imo (if it's the one right next to the basketball center at least). It takes a while but you don't have to do too much to get out of there. Thankfully there won't be another game right after this time around either (or before apparently).
Best bet no matter what is to get the early and grab your spot, no matter where it is.

Thanks, 07. A win will make departing the parking lot more pleasurable than the horrible loss we endured the last time we played there! We shoulda won that one! Good luck, LOBOS! See ya'll there!

I parked across the tollway at the Dart station vs. Guyer. Quick exit from the lot after the game, and only a 5-10 minute walk to the stadium. Will be doing this again.

It's game week!! Hopefully we'll improve from the scrimmage.
Lots to work on before next Saturday, but finally ready to get that awful game against DeKaney out of my head.

Be lucky to beat Marshall playing like that! I kid, I kid. We got out coached last night, plain and simple. The players played well on offense but the coaches got in their way. Coach Vallerie or however you spell needs to learn we are successful running the ball under center. We get into Coppell's territory and instead of staying in the I-Form we got into a shotgun set and stall out. We ran the ball well and got beat by 30+ points. THAT is not Longview football at all
