Longview went undefeated in district. However Tyler was awarded the title by the district 10 committee. Jacksonville entered the district after the season had begun. Longview was unable to schedule Jacksonville because the Lobos had already completed their schedule. Tyler had already scheduled Jacksonville as a non-district game. That game became a district game thus making Tyler's winning percentage slightly higher than Longview's.
