Go Lobos. We need a good group effort and no injuries and I would be happy.

2 more days....I am soooo ready for some Lobo football! By the way...where did this "Lufkin L" thing come from? I always thought it was the Longview Lobo Rockin L sign! It's like the chicken or the egg...which came first. I'm stickin with the L!

Lufkin has always done the L. The thumbs up for the Lobos started with the resurgence of the program in the 70s (at least I always just assumed it did, could be totally wrong about that).
Never have done the L and never will.

I will gladly convert to the thumbs up if we can give Lufkin a beat down in their own house. We are over due to win at Abe. I think this will be our year to do it. Twice I have predicted a deep pass to the end zone by Lufkin in the closing seconds of the first half only to see it happen before my eyes. Please cover the deep pass Lobos!

My aunt, who graduated from LHS in 1965 said that they always did the thumb. She still goes to every game (including out of town) and she doesn't remember when the "L" became the thing, but she thinks in the late 90's. It has always been a thumb for us, and I guess it always will be.

Always been thumbs up for me as well. S'what I learned from someone who went to Longview in the 60s and hasn't missed a home game since.
Anyway, I'm glad we're scrimmaging a team like JT. They have good athletes all over the field so this will be a great tune up game. Better than against a team like Hallsville (not a knock on them, but JT is in another league). Just have to remember that this is a scrimmage and won't make or break the season.

On the actual subject of scrimmages.......... It is really scary considering our last two scrimmage where someone was hurt for the rest of the season happened at the hands of Hallsville. If JT is out looking for blood, that could easily happen again. What is to stop them from TRYING to hurt one of our players?
