Longview vs Nacogdoches - November 12th, 1952 - via Associated Press
Longview Forfeits Tilt to Nacogdoches The Longview Lobos had a record of two losses in district 4-AAA Wednesday after their forfeited their only win because an overage player was used. Billy Wayne Dodson, a wingback, was 20, although school records indicted he was only 18. The deception was discovered when Dodson's name appeared as one of those summoned for a pre-draft physical. Longview school Superintendent R.E. Slayton, who also is chairman of the district executive committee, immediately forfeited the Lobos' only conference win, a 39 to 0 victory over Nacogdoches and said Dodson would not play in any other games. Members of the district executive committee, who learned of Dodson's ineligibility from Slayton, said no other action would be taken. Dodson's mother said she changed the birth certificate he used at school after he missed two years of school in grammar school.
