Longview hits Waco in late finish, 42-22 Longview High surged past Waco on a second half scoring spree to capture a 42-22 grid opener here Friday. Behind 21-22 at the midpoint, the Lobos sent quarterback Jimmy Streeet across three times on runs of 10, 12, and 9 yards. Halfback Harold Cock's 58 yard punt accounted for another. Keith Luft, breakaway Tiger bank, went 68 steps to tally; wingback Joe Crow went 10 yards for another and then captured a Jimmy Spurgeon pass to tally for Waco. Fullback Glen Cobb accounted for two Longview touchdowns in the first half.
