Lobos down Friars, 24-19 The Longview Lobos scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns in a come-from-behind win over inspired Bishop Lynch here Friday Night, 24-19. The Friars held a 2-point lead going into the final quarter before the Lobos turned up t he pressure. Jimmy Hill put Longview ahead in the opening quarter on a 25-yard field goal. But the Friars struck right back and sent Jack Coneff over from the 1 to finish a 45-yard match. The Lobos pushed ahead early in the second when Ronnie Davis rifled a pass to Joe Jordan on a play covering 66 yards. Early in the fourth, Coneff scored from the 2 to wind up a 49-yard drive and put the Friars back out front, 12-10. Then the Lobos ignited their rally and sent Rodney Cox on a 48-yard Gallop and Mike Northcutt on a 9-yard run for touchdowns. The Friars scored again with a minute left on a short pass from Philip Shotland to Tom Kottwitz Scoring 1st - Longview (3-0) - Jimmy Hill (25-yard field goal) 1st - Bishop Lynch (3-6) - Jack Coneff (1 yard run) 2nd - Longview (10-6) - Joe Jordan (66 yard pass from Ronnie Davis) 4th - Bishop Lynch (10-12) - Jack Coneff (2 yard run) 4th - Longview (17-12) - Rodney Coxx (48 yard run) 4th - Longview (24-12) - Mike Northcutt (9 yard run) 4th - Bishop Lynch (24-19) - Tom Kottwitz (? pass from Philip Shotland)

It was Mike, not Miles Northcutt. Mike could really run, even by todays standards he would be darn fast.
