Lobos like top 10, top Panthers Apparently liking the heady air of the state's Class AAAA top 10, Longview rolled to a 24-0 victory over Dallas Hillcrest here Friday night. The triumph hiked the Lobo season record to 3-0 and cemented their claimed to the No. 10 spot in their state rankings. Hillcrest dropped to 0-3. Quarterback Mike Mock led Longview to victory with a triple-threat performance that included a 30-yard field goal and a kicked extra point, a 1-yard touchdown run, and a pass to Ricky Watts for a 2-point conversion. Mock was also the game's leading rusher with 92 yards on 12 carriers. The other Longview scores came on a 38-yard burst by Bobby Hunter and a 7-yard romp by Steve Gaddis. The Lobos led at halftime, 17-0.
